How do you maintain the school’s community, culture, and emphasis on sustainability when you are learning and teaching remotely? Students in the Watershed Management class rose to that challenge by collaborating on a Padlet page where they shared their collective knowledge about sustainability issues and strategies. Besides producing a visually appealing end result, the exercise helped everyone in the class revisit many of the lessons they already knew from previous experience at Sky Islands, and also served as a way to kickstart the conversation about those issues in local and global sustainability and environmental stewardship they will address in greater depth over the course of the school year.
