Students in the Urban Horticulture program have been busily tending to the school’s production farm, ensuring that the Blue Sky Café has lots of fresh, healthy produce from on-site. This means frequent harvesting, planting, and clearing out and composting. Each stage is rich with learning opportunities about diverse areas such as agriculture, ecology, biology, botany, health, and environmental science. In addition, the school adopted an additional 18 baby Mallorca chicks to add to its flock!
