College and Career Portal

College and Career Readiness (CCR) is designed to prepare students for transitioning into life after high school, with a focus on college exploration, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship. This is a quarter-long daily program, for all juniors and seniors during the Fall semester each year, although ongoing support and mentorship will occur after that as well. Students will learn about all the steps necessary to apply for colleges, complete their FAFSA forms and apply for financial aid, write personal statements, and learn other elements of college entrance and college success. Students will also practice career planning and create resumes, conduct mock interviews, and more. The goal is that by the end of their senior year, all students will have a solid foundation of skills and a high degree of confidence in their success in their future paths, whether that lie in college, trade schools, or the workforce. (taught by Joseph Mais)
