Art and World Language Teacher Openings

Sky Islands is seeking to fill the following positions for the 2022-23 school year:

World Language Teacher

We are open to applicants who can teach multiple levels of Spanish, French or any other world language. In addition, applicants may also be required to supervise a student-led seminar. Applicants with teaching experience at this level, who can offer an applied project-based approach and incorporate the school’s environmental projects into the world language program, are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment: August 3rd, 2022-May 26th, 2023, approximately 10 hours per week.

Compensation: $20/hr

Art Teacher

School year 2021-22 art classes included: visual arts, multi-media, ceramics, and art and design, however, there is leeway and flexibility in the curriculum and courses can be designed around the teacher’s interest, expertise, and knowledge. Applicants with teaching experience at this level, who can offer an applied project-based approach and incorporate the school’s environmental projects into the art program, are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment: 2022-2023 school year; beginning August 3rd 2022 and ending May 26th 2023; teachers are expected to be on campus from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

Compensation: 42,000+ DOE plus a benefits package that includes health insurance, vision and dental insurance, and life insurance.
