US/AZ History Class Trip to Arizona History Museum

While preparing for their third quarter performance, students in the US/AZ History class toured the Arizona History Museum, where they saw actual artifacts from and read the stories of the people and events they had been learning about in class. During the third quarter, the focus was on the Era of Extraction and changing views on the land, which included much of Arizona’s rich mining history, so getting to tour the mock copper mine and seeing all the actual machinery from the mills (as well as the hysterical cardboard cutouts of miners) was particularly interesting.
