This spring brought wonderful weather to the desert, so the Advisory groups took advantage. Groups went hiking at Catalina State Park, Saguaro National Park, and Ventana Canyon. Other outdoor activities included messy painting projects and building new benches for the front of the school, as well as creating ephemeral art inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. Other groups ventured to the Museum of Contemporary Art for some indoor fun, and tried their hand at making ikebana (traditional Japanese flower arranging) using plants found on-site, or toured the Exo Coffee Roasters. Others planted lettuce in the aquaponics, and then harvested, processed, and gave out the delicious results to the rest of the school!
