Japanese Language and Culture Class II

In addition to honing their reading, writing, and speaking skills, students in Japanese II also got to experience many other aspects of Japanese culture, such as calligraphy, playing the koto, making suminagashi (Japanese marbled ink art), and making and selling Japanese food at school and at the annual Mochitsuki Festival at Pima Community College! The students also made friends with pen pals at a high school in Japan, helping them practice their language skills while learning about Japanese culture through, and vice versa.
