Dream Rocket Project

Students in Jason’s Advising Group participated in the Dream Rocket Project, an international art collaboration where thousands of pieces from around the world will eventually be connected to wrap around a 385-foot Space Launch System (SLS) rocket replica. This replica will be placed on temporary exhibit across the US, and symbolizes NASA’s ‘dream’ of going to Mars and beyond.

The theme for our region was the celebration of the National Park Service’s centennial anniversary, so the students visited Saguaro National Park, where they looked for inspiration for their paintings. The works they created will be on display at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library throughout July, before being sent to the Dream Rocket Project center.
