Civano Field Trips

Students from the 2-D Design class visited the Civano community as part of their urban design unit, which focuses on creating sustainable planned community designs. The students toured the Civano community, which is a model of sustainable urban and civic planning for the southwest to see what a potential design looks like at ground level.

Additionally, students from the Gardening by Design class also toured the Civano community to see the principles of water harvesting and desert-adapted landscape design firsthand, as well as to shop at the nursery for fruit trees for the school orchard project!
